As we inch closer to the invasion, had a few responses of potential attendees. No worries though, we are going to have fun regardless.

Dede I believe has decided to stay at Union Station Marriot. Very nice hotel, sadly the mall there isn't the best. But there is the Hard Rock, and a paddle boat pond. Metro Station is close by also.

Pontoon Beach Illinois offers the closes motels to me, there are four or five of them there. Holiday in Express, Days Inn and Suites, Motel 8, a couple others I believe.

If need be, I would be happy to put a few folks up. May have to use the couch or the floor, or all jump in one bed. But that could be fun. lol

Consider attending, the Date is May 21st through May 23rd, or longer. Then we move to Indiana to invade Hotnurse's place.

Dadof3, I am hoping to make it to NYC also! Unfortunately, I have a conference on the 1st of May and won't be able to be there to meet you. I really need to be at work AT LEAST one day between May 3-5, preferrably all three.

After that, I'm currently flexible, tho things change quickly in my life!

I might try to expense part of this as a business trip and do business on the way back home. :)

Hi, I also live in Saint Louis. Really hope to attend, but having ankle surgery about a week before so ???
Lots of good places to stay in the burbs - such as out west off I-44 off Lindbergh - good conference center at the Viking with a Hampton Inn across the street.
If definite plans for hotel not made, consider these. Also plenty of fairly good ones near the airport, but not much to do there, I don't think. You'd need a car to get around for sure.
Downtown has its plusses also, but much more expensive. There's a casino downtown - Lumiere Place; hotel is pricey and so is parking. Don't know if the Cardinals are in town that weekend, but if stay downtown, stadium is right there for those interested in baseball.

It's in the great flyover so both left and right coasters have probably missed it. That's OK - less crowded that way. I'm originally from the NYC burbs and about the only thing I really miss here is the beach. :} Katya

We can play games, LRC, bring 10 dollars in quarters. Not big on drinking games, prefer to drink at my own pace. I do have a wireless router now, so several folks can be online at the same time. I will start looking to see what St. Louis has to offer that weekend.
